Dog Vision Sense
The senses of dog vision are not as sharp as humans. However, dogs have visual acuity in detecting motion. Objects that move quickly and precisely can be captured by the dog's eye.
Many experts who experimented on these senses among the famous are F.J.J.Buytendÿk and Bastian Schmid. Buytendÿk found that the dogs did not react much and did not distinguish triangles, quads or circles in silence. These forms can be distinguished by the dog if in a state of moving on the screen.
Bastian Schmid did the testing to find out the furthest distance the dog can see. Here it is distinguished between seeing in the sense of recognizing. In his experiments he used 5 people dressed the same as the distance between each of 3-5 meters. One by one these people show up and watch the dog's reaction to whether the dog can recognize the handler. Each time a dog's handler comes along, only the place moves around. It turns out the dogs can recognize the handler from the furthest distance of 115 meters, while the closest distance is 5-10 meters. But if the person in the experiment was moving then from the movement dog can recognize the handler back from a distance of 130-150 meters.
Can dogs recognize colors? There are many differences of opinion about this material. In The British Journal of Psychology published in 1912 was published the results of a British research Smith who conducted experiments to examine whether the dog is color blind or not. The results of his experiments show for a certain gray color the dog has difficulty to tell the difference. This may be because in its natural life the color does not play an important role for the dog. However, Smith's opinion was opposed by three Russian investigators, so the result can not be used as a benchmark.
As discussed above, dogs can recognize moving images on screen, after an experiment has been found that dogs can see shadows on the screen at the same speed as the human eye that is about 18 images per second. Even from the results obtained that the dog can see and recognize the goods moving on the screen like a real object.
