Shar Pei
Shar Pei is a type of dog that almost all the texture of the body shaped wrinkles. The name Shar Pei itself comes from China, who calls it Sha Pi which means "Sand Leather". As a baby, Shar Pei has a lot of wrinkles. But in adulthood, wrinkles begin to decrease and become one with the skin. This species was not recognized by the American Kennel Club until 1991. Appearance
Although there are different types of colors Shar Pei, but this race has the same characteristics with Chow Chow, which is a blackish tongue. In baby Shar Pei, almost the entire body including the head and neck is covered with wrinkled leather sheets. In Shar Pei's adult, her wrinkles unite with the skin, leaving her wrinkles remaining on her head and neck. Maintenance of the wrong can result in adult Shar Pei still having wrinkles covering the whole body. With small ears, bermoncong like hippos and an upright tail, Shar Pei is very unique indeed.
Health
Problems that arise with poor treatment are eye disease, entropion, which causes the eyelids to fold and cause irritation that can cause blindness. This case can be cured by surgery. Skin infections (allergies) also become one of the problems in the ugly type of derivatives. In addition, there is also a febrile illness Shar Pei, a fever that lasted for 24 hours and then disappeared. In other cases, the fever may recur and become more severe.

Since Mao Zedong came to power, he quelled all the kingdoms, including Shar Pei's dog, until it was recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records as "the world's rarest dog". Since then, Sharpei has become popular in the world as a good home dog, as evidence that this race is actually a family dog rather than a fighting dog.
